Get Crafty With Canvas

Welcome back to week 2 of our Get Crafty With Canvas challenge.  Last week our Frilly team has some sensational samples and now their Funkie counterparts are back with their take on the challenge.  We still have one whole week for this challenge to run and we hope that you will dive in and have some fun with canvas.  Here's some inspiration to get you started:

Linda Coughlin - The Funkie Junkie

Terry Horrall - Terry's Work In Progress

Marjie Kemper - She Who Stamps and Scraps

Anita Houston - The Artful Maven Haven

Week One of the Challenge
Welcome back Frilly and Funkie friends.  Thanks to Anita for her fun and interesting Renaissance Men challenge and thanks to all of you who played along.  We're back again with a new challenge that we hope will inspire your creativity.

Linda here hosting this week.  I love using textiles in my art and canvas is such a fun and versatile fabric to use. You can die cut it, emboss it, dye it by spraying or dipping. You can use it in its raw state, coat the reverse side with gesso or multi medium to prevent fraying or use the sticky back kind. You can stamp on it and make embellishments (flowers :) with it. Oh, so many fun ways to use it in our art. How are you going to use canvas for this challenge?

Linda Coughlin - The Funkie Junkie

Tammy Roberts - Paperie Sweetness

Sue Carrington - Stamping Sue Style

Teresa Kline-Paperie Blooms
Our challenge offers two opportunities for prizes - a random drawing for a $25 gift certificate to shop at The Funkie Junkie Boutique and a best project competition, judged by the voting of the design team members. The Funkie Favorite winner receives a winner's badge to display on their blog sidebar. In order to qualify for a prize, you must follow the challenge requirements and provide a link back to our challenge site in your post.

Thanks again for stopping by. Be sure to stop back next Wednesday for even more inspiration from our Funkie designers!

Whatever your style, Frilly or Funkie, you are welcome to play along with our vintage inspired challenge. You may upload your project at any time. If using a public forum, please use keyword F&F. Please be sure to provide a link back to our challenge in your post. Please please pleasebe sure to turn off your Word Verification so our design team can leave comments on your blogs.
